How It Started
In 2019, our founder Sarah Mitchell was running a busy restaurant in Austin, Texas. Between managing staff, sourcing ingredients, and keeping the kitchen running, she had zero time to monitor her Google and Yelp reviews — let alone respond to them.
One day, a regular customer mentioned they'd almost gone somewhere else after reading a scathing 1-star review that had sat unanswered for three weeks. The review was from a misunderstanding — easily explained — but without a response, it looked like Sarah didn't care.
That moment changed everything. Sarah sold the restaurant and founded Review Watchers with a simple mission: make sure no local business ever loses a customer to an unanswered review again.
